New Personal Essay: I Feel Like a Chronic Pain Imposter--Then, The Next Flare Hits

This tender, terrifying, vulnerable piece of writing gave me more pause than most.

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel if it was accepted for publication, particularly in the large publication to which I’d submitted it. But I had this sense like maybe it was important, and possibly one of the most important things I’ve written yet.

Apparently the editors of Invisible Illness thought so too. So, here she is, my little essay about my chronic pain and what it means and how it feels.
